The short version
- This website sets no cookies and runs no tracking or analytics.
- You can browse clubs in the app without an account. You only sign up to RSVP, check in and collect stamps.
- Clubs see your first name for runs you sign up to. Local partners only ever see counts, never names.
- Kudos are private between you and the club.
- We never sell your data.

2What we collect
When you visit this website
We don't ask for anything. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic browser details to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks.
When you use the app as a runner
- Account details: your name and email address, and your sign-in details.
- Running preferences: your level, usual pace and the days you like to run.
- Activity: runs you RSVP to, check-ins, stamps, rewards claimed, and kudos you receive.
- Location: if you allow it, your device's location to show clubs near you on the map.
- Messages to us: anything you send through Help and feedback, and reports you make.
- Settings: your notification choices.
- Usage: which clubs and runs you view and tap, so we can improve the app and show club owners how many people visited.
- Membership: if you take out a paid membership, a record of your subscription. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.
When you run a club or are a local partner
- Your contact details, your club or business details, and the meeting points, runs, news posts and offers you publish.
- Photos and logos you upload. We check photo details such as the camera that took it, to help spot images that aren't genuine.
3Why we use it
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use. Ours are:
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Create and run your account, RSVPs, check-ins, stamp cards, rewards and kudos | Contract: it's the service you signed up for |
| Take payment for membership | Contract |
| Show clubs near you using your location | Consent: you can switch it off in your device settings at any time |
| Send service emails, such as sign-in links and run updates | Contract |
| Send notifications you've switched on | Consent: change them any time in the You tab |
| Review clubs, photos and changes before they go live, including with help from an AI screening tool, with a person making the final decision | Legitimate interests: keeping Wallop safe and accurate |
| Show club owners and partners anonymous counts and reports | Legitimate interests: helping clubs grow |
| Improve the app using views and taps | Legitimate interests |
| Keep financial records and respond to legal requests | Legal obligation |
4Who can see what
- Club owners and hosts see your first name and whether you RSVP'd and checked in, for their runs only.
- Joint runs: when a run has co-host clubs, each host club sees your first name for that run only. The run page tells you this before you sign up.
- Kudos are visible only to you and the club that gave them.
- Local partners see numbers, such as how many runners checked in or claimed an offer. They never see names.
- Other runners can't see your profile or activity. Runner-to-runner features aren't part of Wallop today, and we'll update this policy before we add any.
- Wallop admins can access accounts and clubs to run the service. Every admin change is logged with who made it.
6Outside the UK
Some of our suppliers store or process data outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. When that happens we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
7How long we keep it
- Your account and activity: while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to keep it for the reasons below.
- Accounts left unused for 24 months: we email you first, then delete the account if you don't reply.
- Payment records: 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
- Anonymous counts and reports: kept, because they no longer identify you.
- Help and feedback messages: up to 2 years.
8Your rights
You have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict or object to how we use it, including anything we do on the basis of legitimate interests
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, for example for location or notifications
Email us at hello@walloprun.co.uk to use any of these rights. We'll reply within one month. It's free, unless a request is clearly excessive.
10Age
You must be 16 or over to create a Wallop account. If you think someone younger has signed up, tell us and we'll delete the account.
11Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our suppliers. Access rules in our database decide who can see each record, and we test them regularly. Admin access is limited to named people and every change is logged.
12Changes
We'll update this page when anything changes and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email first.
13Contact and complaints
Questions or concerns: email hello@walloprun.co.uk or write to Lucere TG Ltd, Carlyle House, 8 Chorley New Road, Bolton, BL1 4BY.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
